2017 National Scout Jamboree:
In the summer of 2017 I returned to The Summit Bechtel Reserve in Mt. Hope, West Virginia for the Nation Scout Jamboree. I worked as a staff member in the STEMquest booth for the two weeks of the jamboree. I performed STEM related demonstrations and answered many questions. My official job while there was to help participants make their way around the University of Charleston's booth about how to be MedWise, discover the non-newtonian substance commonly called oobleck, make origami DNA, and extract their own DNA from their saliva. I also got to help participants build and launch model rockets. I even got to help 4 youth participants earn the Jamboree specific NOVA award and earned mine as well!
